Description:
I will explore strategies to help International Baccalaureate and IGCSE English students engage actively with feedback by making it clear, actionable, and integral to the learning cycle. I will also share practical ways—through documentation, peer collaboration, and kinesthetic activities—to guide purposeful reflection so students can turn feedback into measurable improvement and take greater ownership of their progress.
Intended Impact:
We often invest significant time in giving feedback, yet students often struggle to interpret or apply it effectively. This workshop will offer practical tools to close that gap, helping exam-level English students engage more deeply with feedback to strengthen their writing, improve assessment outcomes, and take greater responsibility for their learning.
Outcome:
Teachers will leave with actionable ideas they can implement immediately, supported by insights shared during the session. By the end of the workshop, you will have:
- Practical, ready-to-use strategies for feedback and reflection
- Templates and examples for student documentation
- A clearer understanding of how to build a culture of ownership and improvement in English classrooms
