Games in the TOK Classroom
Sunday September 20, 2026 9:00am - 10:00am CEST
In this session, we will explore how different types of games can be used in the classroom.  My examples will be specific to TOK, though there is likely connections to be made to other subjects as well.  At the end of the session, attendees will be given an opportunity to share any successful games from their lessons as well.

Here are the games and their connection to learning:
  • Two modern hobby board games to understand scientific thinking methods
  • A murder mystery game to investigate perspectives
  • A game of charades with a twist to think from different perspectives
  • A digital escape room game as review activity
  • Blooket online as a higher level review tool

I have been teaching TOK for six years, during which I have also become the TOK Coordinator at ISH and a TOK Examiner for the IB.  While still occasionally feeling like a novice in the world of TOK, I feel quite the opposite in the world of hobby board games with a collection of... Read More →

Computer Science Working Group Welcoming Session
Sunday September 20, 2026 9:00am - 11:30am CEST
Are you a Computer Science teacher at your school, or looking to connect with a wider network of CS educators in the AGIS community?
Join us for the meeting of the AGIS Computer Science Working Group!

This is our first time coming together as a community of IB and IGCSE Computer Science teachers across AGIS schools. The goal today is simple: meet each other, share what we're working with, and figure out what we want this group to become.
We'll touch on syllabus challenges, useful resources, and ed-tech tools but we won't be going deep on any single topic today. Two hours isn't enough for that, and that's okay. We surface what matters, and use it to shape the agenda for our future meetings.

What We Will Discuss:
SYLLABUS
Pain points, confusions, what works, both IB & IGCSE
RESOURCES
Any online tools, websites, platforms useful for CS teaching
DOCUMENTS
Files shared specifically within this group, mock exams, worksheets, IA exemplars
ED-TECH TOOLS
Tech Stack icebreaker, languages, IDEs, favourite tools
AGENDA
What members want from the group + next session topics

Share any questions or concerns about this session here in the Agenda column. You can also add links or documents to other columns that you want to share.

Come ready to share, ask, and connect.
