Reducing IB Business Management IA Workload Using AI: Feedback, Assessment, and Academic Integrity
Saturday September 19, 2026 9:45am - 10:45am CEST
Supervising IB Business Management Internal Assessments can be one of the most time-consuming responsibilities for teachers. This practical workshop will demonstrate how to use Artificial Intelligence responsibly to help teachers review IA drafts, generate criterion-aligned feedback, and write final supervisor comments more efficiently. Participants will learn how to analyse student work against IB assessment Criteria A–E, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and generate professional feedback while maintaining academic integrity. The session will focus on reducing workload, improving the quality of feedback, and ensuring alignment with IB assessment standards. Attendees are encouraged to have a ChatGPT subscription that allows for document uploads.

Literature in Action – Bringing Texts to Life Through Performance
Saturday September 19, 2026 11:15am - 12:15pm CEST
How do we move literature from the page into the body, the voice, and the lived experience of our
students? Literature in Action is a dynamic workshop inspired by the IB’s Literature and Performance
curriculum. It is designed to equip educators with practical performance-based strategies to deepen
literary understanding.
This workshop bridges literary analysis and dramatic practice, demonstrating how performance
techniques—such as hot seating, tableaux, choral speaking, and scripted adaptation—can unlock
character motivation, theme, context, and language. Using extracts from widely taught texts and plays
(from Shakespeare to contemporary fiction), participants will actively explore how embodiment,
voice, and staging choices sharpen critical thinking and textual interpretation.
Teachers will leave with adaptable lesson frameworks, rehearsal-style questioning techniques, and
assessment strategies that lean towards performance that align with curriculum goals while
energising classroom engagement. No prior drama experience is required—only a willingness to step
into the ‘drama’ of the written work.
