About me
Mairim “Mai” Nsofu is an international educator with over 20 years of experience teaching early learners, from preschool through grade 2. She currently serves as the Early Years Coordinator at the International School of Stuttgart, following her previous role as a literacy coordinator. Drawing on her international experience teaching in the Philippines, the USA, and Germany, Mai continually grows as an educator and brings fresh insights to her practice in early childhood education.She is passionate about art, design, creating inspiring learning spaces, and supporting wellbeing—crafting environments that spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and promote the holistic growth of every child. Mai is particularly interested in how intentionally designed environments and the use of intelligent materials can create enabling spaces where young learners develop skills and knowledge while exercising meaningful student agency. Through her work, she strives to foster joyful, inclusive classrooms where children feel empowered to explore, collaborate, and take ownership of their learning.
