About me
Monika has been an educator in international schools for over 30 years. She has taught IBDP German B SL und HL for over 25 years and also German AbInitio at times. She has also taught English B for about 10 years and IBMYP German B for about 20 years. Monika has retired from teaching in August 2022, yet she is still an avid and enthusiastic reader who believes in lifelong learning. Her passion for teaching and her love for sharing her expertise and wealth of ideas is still keeping her going.
Kerstin is in her 4th year of teaching at the International School of Hamburg, her first IB school. She gained most of her teaching experience in the US where she taught 20 years in American High schools, as well as German language schools in Connecticut and California. She always liked making the lessons and the curriculum about her students interests and continues to do so in Hamburg, especially after meeting Monika during her IBDP German B workshop who introduced her to work units taught and developed by students.
