About me
I am from a big little city called Las Cruces, New Mexico, in the US. I moved to New York City early in my career, where I spent over a decade in the public schools working with diverse learners from all over the world. I am committed to creating classrooms where students feel valued, included, and able to thrive. I believe that strong partnerships with families, equitable access to opportunities, and research-based practices are key to helping every learner succeed. Over the past 15 years in education, I’ve had the opportunity to grow in a variety of roles and settings, experiences that have shaped both my perspective and my approach to teaching. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary and Special Education, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Doctorate in Education Leadership, Management, and Policy. Each step in that journey has deepened my understanding of how to support students in meaningful and effective ways, both inside and outside the classroom.
