About me
With nearly two decades in education, I’ve come to believe that meaningful learning starts with meaningful relationships. I’m passionate about building authentic connections with students - because when students feel known and valued, they’re far more open to academic growth. My interest in the science of the brain and learning isn’t just professional, it’s personal. I don’t just study it, I try to live it every day in how I lead and connect.
I currently serve as the Assistant Principal of the Primary School at Leipzig International School, where I focus on creating environments that support both academic success and social-emotional well-being. I’m especially interested in how brain-based practices and strong relationships can transform learning experiences for students.
In the summer of 2025, I moved from Los Angeles to Leipzig with my family - a transition that has given me a fresh perspective on education, culture, and community. While I’m embracing the adventure, I’ll admit I still miss great Mexican food and year-round sunshine!
Come talk to me about building authentic student connections, brain-based learning, social-emotional development and how it's linked to academic success, or navigating the joys (and surprises) of international school life.
