About me
I am currently in my 13th year at Heidelberg International School. I have spent the last 24 years working in educational consulting, mentoring, counselling and student support roles. My primarily focus is the provision of pastoral care and social emotional counselling. I regularly provide solution focused brief counselling in our community, working individually with adolescents, parents throughout the whole school and also with teachers and leadership to provide more access to the curriculum and strategies to foster healthy relationships between peers.I enjoy helping educators come up with ways to look at traditional models differently. This is often achieved when someone looks at a system of learning and evaluates it from the perspective of the student in need. In the past 5 years, I have been paying special attention to the impact of skill building and effective solution focused practice to partner with parents for lasting success. I am a long-time member of the AGIS Counsellor's Working Group and I look forward to connecting with all of you again this year.
